"Untersuchung von hellkörnigen Hybridroggenbeständen der Sorte Hellvus, in Bezug auf Einkreuzung sortenfremder Roggen."

Hochschule Neubrandenburg, 2010

Abstract: This essay is about Hellvus, a light seed Rye. The light seed variety is affected by the intercrossing of dark variety. It shows so called Xenien. To use the variety characteristic in the commercial agriculture it was interesting how they manifest in commercial fields. The Intercrossing of Rye was analyzed by different scientists, because of diverse reasons. But the results of their experiments just show the effects in small fields and ideal conditions. Out of experience it is known, that intercrossing manifest in big fields. Intercrossing is the result of the amount of Pollen which are produced in the rye field in relation to the amount of fertile alien pollen. Scientists show that disposition rye pollen is affected by wind direction, wind speed and the macro and micro relief. They also show, that the field border is more effected by intercrossing than the inner layer and pollen clouds effect the intercrossing unpredictably. The effect of wind barrier is usually valued well. The work shows that border effects are well pronounced in, close to each other, placed fields. The alignment of fields affects how strong this effect is pronounced. In wind direction the effect show up strong and clear; against wind direction the effect occur less strong but also clear and lateral to wind direction the effect occur inexplicit. All fields manifest a ground level of intercrossing. The ground level is most affected by the sensitivity of intercrossing. This work show in concluding that intercrossing can be improved by different sanction. How good this sanctions work has to be analyzed in following works. This essay should be a good basis.
