Bestandserfassung eines denkmalgeschützten Gebäudekomplexes unter Verwendung des terrestrischen Laserscanners FARO Photon 120

Hochschule Neubrandenburg, 2010

Abstract: Before planning the reconstruction of buildings it is necessary to gather information about the structure of the building. Yet, in particular for very old buildings original do-cumentation of the buildings? structure is often non-existent. Therefore, architects need to draw up latest as-built documentations from the building considered for reconstruc¬tion. The terrestrial laser scanning offers an alternative to conventional methods of mea¬surement for as-built documentations. This thesis deals with an as-built documentation of a heritage building based on laser scan data. The data was collected by using FARO?s Photon 120. Laser scanning is a three-dimensional surveying procedure to scan an object. At the beginning of the thesis methodological basics and the test sequence of laser scanning are explained. The main part of the thesis focuses on the data analysis. Finally, the as-built documentation with outline, sections, and front side of the heritage building is provided for future planning of reconstruction. The software FARO Scene, Kubit PointCloud, and LupoScan were used for post-processing data analysis.
