John Bowlby beschreibt in seiner Bindungstheorie die emotionale Entwicklung des Menschen.
Er ist der Auffassung, dass die Bindungserfahrungen in der Kindheit Auswirkungen auf
das Leben haben können. So bergen aus der Sicht der Entwicklungspsychopathologie negative
Bindungserfahrungen ein erhöhtes Risiko für die Entwicklung einer psychiatrischen
Störung. Besonders Heimkinder machen Erfahrungen mit negativen Bindungen. Doch eine
Heimunterbringung lässt sich für viele Kinder und Jugendliche nicht vermeiden. Aber
eine Verbesserung der strukturellen Bedingungen in den Heimen, würde das Risiko zumindest
verringern.

John Bowlby describes in his relation theory the emotional development´of the human.
In his opinion, relation experience in the childhood could affect the whole life.
For psychopathology of development purposes, negative relation experience cause a
higher risk to suffer from psychiatric disorders. Especially children in children`s
homes have experience with negative relations. But for many children and teenagers
home-stays are not avoidable. But at least, better structural conditions in children´s
homes would reduce those risks.
