Kinder oder Karriere – das ist die Alternative, vor der gut ausgebildete junge Frauen
heute stehen. Neue Familienstrukturen und hohe Ansprüche an die zeitliche Flexibilität
der Arbeitnehmer erfordern neue Formen und Zeiten von Kinderbetreuung. Betriebliche
Kita-Förderung und erweiterte Öffnungszeiten können ein Weg sein. Wichtig ist es,
das Wohl des einzelnen Kindes, die Bedürfnisse der Familien und die Qualität der pädagogischen
Einrichtung im Blick zu behalten.

Young well educated women have to decide on children or career. New family structures
and the demanded flexibility of employees require new forms and times of care for
children. Companies with their own development funds for kindergartens (with attended
opening times) may show a new way. It is important to look at the welfare of every
child, at the needs of families and at the quality of educational institutions.
