Abstract: The subject of the present paper is a comparative study of different seeding methods and their influence on the development of plants, on the crop grow and finally on the wheat yield. The following methods were used: broadcast sowing, sowing in paired rows as well as row sowing and single grain sowing techniques with different sowing methods. An exact distribution of the seeds is not necessary. On the contrary, the test results prove that only a certain competition in a given row can result in an optimum crop yield. Thus the "unproductive tillering" was used to advantage, to obtain a higher number of grains per ear.
