Abstract: The national park Jasmund has a size of 3003 ha. As one of the smallest national parks of Germany it contains lots of humid areas and the biggest connected beech forest along the German Baltic coast. Within the scope of this dissertation an inventory and assessment of the water structures of the national park was realized. Nearly one third (33%) are without any or just with small impairments and show a natural condition. Another third (39%) are affected by waste or foreign coniferous trees. The last third (28%) contains strong impairments and can not be called natural.
