Auf der Grundlage von 3D Stadtmodellen sowie Geländemodellen, wurde diese Diplomarbeit
angefertigt, um dem Unternehmen GTA Geoinformatik GmbH die Visualisierungsmöglichkeiten,
hinsichtlich zukünftiger anwenderbezogener Einsatzgebiete, aufzuzeigen. Neben der
firmeneigenen Software dem tridicon(TM) CityDiscoverer, existieren nicht viele konkurrenzfähige
Produkte, die in Art und Umfang mit der Komplexität von 3D Stadtmodellen umgehen können.
Um dies genauer zu Untersuchen, erfolgt eine Gegenüberstellung mit weiteren Anwendungen.
Mit Hilfe programmeigener Visualisierungsverfahren wird schrittweise untersucht, welchen
Nutzen bzw. welche Zwecke 3D Stadtmodelle heutzutage und auch zukünftig für das Unternehmen
haben können. Der Marketingabteilung der Firma GTA Geoinformatik GmbH, steht hiermit
eine Arbeit zur
Verfügung, die dem Unternehmen neue Anwendungsmöglichkeiten offen legen möchte.

On the basis of 3D city models as well as digital terrain models (DTM), this thesis
was made to indicate GTA Geoinformatik GmbH
the visualisation possibilities, concerning future user-related operational areas
to the enterprise. Beside the company specific software
tridicon(TM) CityDiscoverer, does not exist many competitive products, which can handle
in kind and extent with the complexity of 3D city models.
To examine it more exactly, a confrontation with other as well as similar applications
occurs.
With the help of program-special visualisation procedures it will gradually examined,
which use or which purposes 3D city models can have nowadays and also in future for
the enterprise. Herewith the marketing department of GTA Geoinformatik GmbH has a
thesis, which would like
to disclose them new application possibilities.
