Abstract: The topic of this research paper is the conception of the data management of a system including rooms, organized events and participants. First a general theory was created, which shows a abstract of the topic room information and room management. After that the analysis of the conditions at the University of Applied Science Neubrandenburg shows that a central System would simplify the administration. This was taken as a basis for the comparison of various solutions, which shows that the software HIS of the Hochschul Informations System GmbH had most chances for success. With a test environment of this software a solution was noticed, which could be used at the University of Applied Science Neubrandenburg. It would be a functioning central room information an room management system.
